He can only work on jobs for which he has been issued a temporary residence and work permit, and only with the employer who employs him.
The work permit, as well as the residence permit are issued only for the period of validity of the contract, on the basis of which the foreign person is invited to work in the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
Temporary residence and work permit in the Republic of Northern Macedonia is issued on the basis of:
- Temporary employment contract (direct employment in the Republic of Northern Macedonia)
- Temporary referral to work (intercompany transfer)
- Temporary seasonal work
- Training and professional development of employees in Northern Macedonia
- Official duties of foreign persons (diplomatic, military representatives)
Work permit based on employment is issued within 45 days from the completed documentation.
