Chancenkarte
With the reform of the immigration law, Germany introduces an additional category of work visas based on a point system similar to that of Canada: the Chancenkarte or Chancenkarte. If you want to move to Germany but cannot find a job from abroad, the Chance Card may be the solution for you.
It will allow you to stay in Germany for up to a year and look for a job on the spot. During your stay, you will have to bear your own living expenses, but you will be given the opportunity for trial work and paid work for up to 20 hours a week until you find a suitable professional position. In order to qualify for the Chancenkarte, you must meet certain requirements and accumulate enough points. Conditions
You have a university degree or have obtained a professional qualification at an accredited institution.
You can cover your living expenses in Germany independently while you are looking for a job.
You speak German at least at level A1 OR English at level B2.
If you already have a diploma or vocational qualification that is recognized in Germany, you automatically meet the requirements. If your qualifications have not yet been verified, you can collect the necessary 6 points in various other categories.
Scored categories:
Qualifications – 6 points for a diploma/vocational qualification + 1 point if you work in a profession that is in short supply.
Experience - 3 points if you have work experience.
Age - 2 points if you are 35 years old or less, and 1 point if you are between 36 and 40 years old.
German language - up to 4 points if you speak German and have the appropriate certificates.
Previous stay in Germany – 1 point for a previous stay in Germany lasting at least 6 months.
Spouses - 1 point if your spouse meets the requirements for the Sansi card and you want to apply together.
